Preconstruction Manager

Oceanview Building Group is a rapidly growing commercial construction company specializing in healthcare facilities throughout South Florida, including medical offices, dental practices, cosmetic surgery centers, and specialty healthcare environments.

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead our preconstruction efforts and work directly with company leadership.

This is a high-impact role for someone who understands both estimating and construction operations. You will be responsible for helping projects start the right way—developing budgets, managing bid processes, identifying project risks, coordinating with design teams, and helping ensure successful project execution.

This position is primarily office-based in Boca Raton with periodic site visits to stay connected with field operations and maintain a practical understanding of project conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed construction estimates
• Review plans and specifications for scope completeness and constructability
• Develop and manage subcontractor bid packages
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor proposals
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients during preconstruction
• Develop scopes of work and procurement strategies
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and project handoff to operations
• Conduct periodic site visits to understand field conditions and support project planning
• Help establish and improve preconstruction systems, standards, and processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating, project management, or preconstruction experience
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and ownership
• Healthcare construction experience is a plus
